CHISITA ADVENTIST MEN WARN MLALA BRANCH OF IMPENDING PUNISHMENT

The Chisita Adventist Men Organization (AMO) on 1st February, 2025, visited Mlala branch as one way of strengthening the members and conducted a program entiltled 'Punishment and Displine'.

During the divine service, Erick Mwanyali preached to the congregation on the title “The elder brother”. Reading from Luke chapter 15 verse 11 to 32, in the story of the prodigal son, he condemned the behaviour of the elder brother who was bitter when the younger brother, who was lost, returned home.

Drawing a parallel from the passage, he cautioned Christians who get bitter when the wayward get back to church and start taking active roles in the church. He admonished the church to be very sensitive when dealing with those that were lost but have returned to the church.

“We need to embrace the love of God as depicted in the father welcoming the lost son despite the fact that he had squandered all his portion of wealth that he had taken," he added.

In the afternoon, the Adventist Men continued sharing the word with the congregation announcing that sin has consequences. Several examples were taken from the Bible to depict how sin shows its ugly face through consequences.

An example of Adam and Eve sin was put across to depict the epitome of sin's consequences and how consequences can be far-reaching, spreading into so many generations.

“We are having high maize prices and high fertilizer prices now; the root cause of all this is the punishment given to our parents in the garden of Eden,” emphasized Charles Mbepula, a Chisita AMO member, drawing laughter from the congregation.

Mlala Branch was so thankful to Chisita AMO for visiting the branch.

“I am thankful that Chisita AMO has finally lived up to its promises to visit us, we have been blessed so much today,” remarked Boyd Chirwa, the company leader for the branch.
