Pastor Dr. Jongimpi Papu who is the vice President and Adventist Family Ministries Director at Southern Africa Indian Ocean Division has said that the family is the key and foundation of everything.

Dr.Papu said this on Friday ,4th October,2024 at Lilongwe Central SDA Church at the opening of MUC Couples Congress.

Pastor Dr. Papu said that powerful families make powerful church and a powerful nation.

He added that it is possible for powerful families to make powerful decisions.

Dr.Papu called every family member to focus seriously on their family by making Jesus as the father of the home. He said Jesus makes a good father as He doesn't leave the house.

Pastor Tony Yolam Nyirenda who is Malawi Union Conference president called the MUC Couples Congress a very important one. He called on all Christians to publicise the event.

He said the Family Ministries emphasis is also very important as it is where life starts.

The first day of the congress was blessed with the presence of Pastor Dr. Saustin Mfune, Pastor Frackson Kuyama both of whom are former MUC presidents, departnmental directors,and Pastors.
